Day 2: Santa Cruz Island
Quito - Santa Cruz - Charles Darwin Research Station
Breakfast and transfer to the airport to catch the flight to Santa Cruz. Upon arrival at Santa Cruz Island, Puerto Ayora our guides will meet with passengers, pick up their luggage and accompany them to the hotel. Visit to the Charles Darwin Station and the National Park Interpretation Center, visit the turtle and land iguana exhibitors and return to the Hotel. Accommodation.
Day 3: Santa Cruz Island
Santa Cruz - Tortuga Bay Beach and Bahia Tour
Breakfast. A 45-minute walk through majestic vegetation and wonderful land birds, the trail will lead us to one of the most beautiful and impressive beaches of Galapagos and Ecuador where we will find the great black colored marine iguanas walking on the shore of the soft sand and wonderful dunes, good place for surfing. Return to the Hotel, Lunch in the afternoon we will make the Bay Tour that covers 5 different sites around Bahia Academia, located in the canton of Santa Cruz, using a time of 10 minutes to the first stop, most of the tour is done by yacht, there are two stops where there is a walk of 15 and 20 minutes respectively, the time it takes to make this tour is 3 hours. The Academia Bay Tour consists of visiting 4 different sites around the bay. The first of them is Los Perros beach, a small beach 10 minutes away from Puerto Ayora, which is home to a colony of iguanas. Then visit the tunnels of love and the tunnels of the blue sharks are very good places for snorkeling and to observe blue-footed boobies nesting on the rocks. At Dogs Beach you can enjoy a walk along the rocks among opuntias and observe large groups of marine iguanas and sea turtles feeding on the shore. The last site is Las Grietas, an inlet of brackish, fresh and crystalline water, characteristics that make it a good place for snorkeling. Lunch, dinner. Accommodation.
Day 4: Santa Cruz Island
Santa Cruz - Sailing excursion to Santa Fe and Escondida beach
Breakfast, departure from Puerto Ayora to Santa Fe Island, approximately 1 hour of navigation, place where we will make a panga ray observing the marine birds such as blue footed boobies, gulls, terns and we will observe the walls and cliffs home of the marine birds, then we will proceed to snorkel in two different points, These places have a depth of 3 to 4 meters deep with an abundant marine life (all precautionary measures must be taken when snorkeling).
At noon we will sail to Playa Escondida at a distance of 25 minutes from Santa Fe, it is a beach of beautiful landscapes with crystal clear waters for snorkeling or swimming in this place you can take a walk to observe colonies of marine iguanas in their natural state, you can appreciate their behavior and their way of life, on this beach you can relax, sunbathe, swim etc.. We will start sailing back to Santa Cruz. Note: (snack, drinks and lunch will be served on board), dinner. Accommodation.
Day 5: San Cristobal Island
Ferry to San Cristobal - Loberia
Breakfast and transfer to the pier to take the ferry to San Cristobal in the afternoon we will visit Playa Loberia. This beach is a piece of coastline that has been named after the large number of sea lions that rest on its rocks and sand. Despite being outside the boundaries of the National Park area, because of its great importance, the Park staff is in charge of its maintenance and care.
In addition to the sea lions, you will be able to observe birds such as the sea canary, frigate birds and several species of finches. On the rocks, you will find large Galapagos marine iguanas, unique in the world. Beach time, lunch and dinner. Accommodation.
Day 6: San Cristobal Island
San Cristobal - Interpretation Center - Cerro Tijeretas - Punta Carola
Breakfast at the Hotel. The tour offered by the facilities of the Interpretation Center takes us through the history of the islands, in their natural, human and conservation contexts. The Natural History Room explains a series of natural circumstances such as the volcanic origin of the islands, their distance from the continent, their marine currents, their special climate, the arrival of different species, their establishment, among others.
The Human History Room narrates chronologically the most significant events related to the discovery and colonization of Galapagos.
Tijeretas Hill, which is located a short distance from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. Near this site was La Predial, a fishing company that was present on the island from 1952 to 1960. The hill is frequently visited by frigates, hence its name. Here it is possible to see the magnificent and large frigates on the hill itself. This is the perfect place to compare and learn to distinguish them. The activities that can be done are: Hiking, snorkeling, photography and filming.
Punta Carola is a beach located to the northwest of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. The beach has an extension of approximately 300 meters, the same that is made up of dry forest vegetation. On the beach you can observe a large colony of sea lions among the vegetation and on the rocks are present marine iguanas You can do: Surfing, photography and filming, snorkeling and swimming.
Day 7: Quito
San Cristobal - Quito
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to San Cristobal airport to catch the flight to Quito. Transfer to the hotel, free afternoon. Accommodation.
