Day 1: Solo
ARRIVAL JOGJAKARTA/SOLO Upon arrival in Jogjakarta (YIA) or Solo Airport, meeting service by our team and direct transfer to your hotel in Solo for overnight.
Day 2: Solo
SOLO – HERITAGE TOUR DANARHADI - SOLO (BL) After breakfast in the hotel, depart to Danar Hadi Batik Museum for a full day heritage tour. You will learn and observe the traditional batik production and have a workshop with the following outline: - history of batik and its development - making process of batik - proper storage of cloth - lunch - practicing to make simple batik pattern in one color After finish the workshop, return to the hotel for overnight. Remark: Danar Hadi Batik Museum – Workshop closed on Sunday and public holiday
Day 3: Yogyakarta
SOLO - JOGJAKARTA (BL) After breakfast in the hotel, depart to Jogjakarta. On the way, you will visit Prambanan, the biggest Hindu temple built in the 9th century. After that, visit Museum Batik Jogjakarta to learn the difference between batik Jogjakarta and Solo. Continue to Winotosastro batik factory for a short workshop and learn how to draw batik with hot wax on a cotton clothes using a canting or stamp or both with one dye color. Wait until boiling out the wax and you will have a great souvenir as a memory of your trip. The last stop will be Beringharjo market and Malioboro street for a souvenir hunt. Lunch will be served at local restaurant before transfer to your hotel for overnight. Remark: Winotosastro batick factory – Closed on Sunday Prambanan - Every Monday visitors are unable to visit Pelataran / Temple Yard of Prambanan Temple for preservation and conservation reason. The visitors can only visit until Area 2 courtyard. From this area visitor still can have nice background of photos and can touch 3 smaller temples. Prambanan temple is closed during Nyepi (Silence) day.
Day 4: Yogyakarta
JOGJAKARTA (BL) After breakfast in hotel, depart to visit Borobudur, the most important Buddhist monument in the southern hemisphere. Built between 777 and 842 AD, this world's largest stupa houses hundreds of Buddha statues and carved panels along the base telling the story of Buddha during his life according to the Jataka tales. The iconography of the ascending terraces moves from hell to earth to nirvana. Borobudur was recently restored by a world effort through UNESCO. After that we will visit also a smaller temple called Mendut and then proceed to Candirejo village and enjoy riding ‘dokar’, the local horse carriage or you can ride a bike to explore this small village and its surrounding beautiful view of plantations and to see the local people daily activity. You will also observe local home industries like sweet potato cracker and also jamu, the traditional herbal medicine productions and also bamboo carving. Then you will learn to play gamelan, the Javanese traditional musical instruments and join a traditional krubosiswo dance which is easy and very popular among local youngsters. Lunch will be served in local restaurant. Remark: Mendut – Closed on Monday Borobudur - Only visiting Plataran temple yard at Borobudur temple. Surcharge is applied to access the Stupa (subject to Borobudur park regulation). Due to the preservation activities at Borobudur temple, access to the Stupa is closed on Monday.
Day 5:
DEPARTURE JOGJAKARTA (B) After breakfast in the hotel, at the appointed time you will be picked up for transferring to Jogjakarta (YIA) airport for your flight to the next destination.
